I believe stories are the best teacher. At least, they are for me. I learned a lot from books and movies as a kid and as an adult. In my opinion, people and kids don't want to learn when they have to, but if you tell them a good story, they will learn from it.

Sadly, we use the same old stories we grow upon, just telling them a bit differently.

I'm not going to lie and tell you self-publishing is easy because it isn't! I got my first gray hair making it happen, but the outcome was worth it. I sold 200 books in 5 months and kept 100% of the profit.  

If you go to a publishing house, you will be lucky with 10% of the profit and most times have to do your own marketing as a new author.

At the moment, I'm working on an online workshop that will explain step by step how to self-publish, find capital for marketing & printing plus, sales.

I was learning about self-publishing, sales & marketing, even printing as I went.

Let's say I made many mistakes... 

Some of them only cost me my time, but some cost me a lot of $. Let me give you two examples:

First, I almost ordered hardcover books from china with 6-month shipping.

This seemed to be the cheapest option at that time (half the price with the shipping included than US printing & shipping). Thankfully, I discovered a better option.

The second mistake was even bigger as I almost accidentally gave amazon the rights for my book. 🤦‍♀️  Amazon is very tricky when it comes to books!
